15 ✰ umhäkelte Weihnachtsgrüße * Tutorial * crocheted Christmas Greetings

Habt ihr noch ein paar hübsche Karten über ? Statt sie zu rahmen könnt Ihr sie auch umhäkeln und als Weihnachtsgruß verschenken oder wie ein Bild aufhängen. 

 

Mein Lieblingsmotiv ist eine alte Weihnachtskarte von meinem Lieblingslabel. Ein Vintage-Schätzchen das nun ganz besonders aussieht. 

 

Neu ist das Umhäkeln nicht, aber ich mag es sehr. Es ist vielseitig und sieht auch bei weihnachtlichen Vintage-Motive hübsch aus. Die Motive entweder sammeln, oder Motive mit dem Drucker auf dickem Papier ausdrucken und dann rundherum mit Garn aufhübschen. 

 

 

Do you still have a few pretty cards left? Instead of framing them, you can crochet around them and give them as Christmas greetings or hang them up like a picture.
 
My favourite motif is an old Christmas card from my favourite label. A vintage treasure that now looks very special.
 
Crocheting is not new, but I like it a lot. It's versatile and looks pretty even with vintage Christmas motifs. Either collect the motifs, or print out motifs on thick paper with the printer and then embellish all around with yarn. 

 

Postkarte mit Häkelkante / postcard with crochet border

 Anleitung / Tutorial

Ihr braucht eine Postkarte, dünnes Garn, ein Lineal und eine weiche Unterlage,
eine spitze dicke Nadel, eine Schere und natürlich eine Häkelnadel.
Meine Postkarte ist 14x18cm groß,
das Baumwollegarn ist ein 8/4 (3er) und die Häkelnadel 2,5

 

 

You need a postcard, thin yarn, a ruler and a soft surface,
a pointed thick needle, scissors and of course a crochet hook.
My postcard is 14x18cm,
the cotton yarn is a 8/4 and the crochet hook  size 12

 

Die Löcher zum Umnähen der Karte müssen vorgestochen werden: dazu habe ich die Karte auf eine weichere Unterlage gelegt, damit die Löcher besser werden. Nun zum Beispiel 5mm vom Rand entfert alle 5mm ein kleines Loch stechen.

Die Karte wird mit einem Knopflochstich umnäht und abschließend das Ende verknotet, und so die Grundlage für den Häkelrand vorbereitet. Benötigt habe ich dafür ein circa 2,5m langes Stück Baumwollfaden.

 

 

The holes for sewing around the card need to be pre-punched: I put the card on a softer surface to make the holes better. Now poke a small hole every 5 mm (0,19 inch ) from the edge, for example.

Sew around the card with a buttonhole stitch and finally knot the end, preparing the basis for the crochet edge. I used a piece of cotton thread about 2.5m ( 99 inch ) long for this.

In den ersten "Bogen" werden 5 Stäbchen gehäkelt, 

der nächste Bogen wird übersprungen 

( x = leerer Bogen ), er bleibt unbehäkelt.  

In den Folgebogen wird eine Kettmasche gehäkelt -
die 5 Stäbchen bilden jetzt einen Halbkreis.

Den nächsten Bogen wieder überspringen.

 

Crochet 5 treble crochets ( ="5 Stäbchen" ) in the first "arc", 

skip the next arc ( x = empty arc ), it remains uncrocheted. 

( x = empty bow ), it remains un crocheted. 

Crochet a slip stitch into the next arch - the
the 5 treble crochets now form a semicircle.
Skip the next arc again.

links neben dem übersprungenen Bogen werden 5 Stäbchen in den Bogen gehäkelt und so fort,

bis ihr kurz vor der Eckmasche ankommt. 

Die Ecken : unmittelbar vor der Ecke muß eine Kettmasche gehäkelt werden.

 

 

to the left of the skipped arc crochet 5 treble crochets into the arc and so on,
until you reach the corner stitch.

The corners : immediately before the corner you must crochet a slip stitch ( = "Kettmasche")

 

 

In die Eckmasche werden 8 Stäbchen gehäkelt, in den Folgebogen eine Kettmasche, 

 

Crochet 8 treble crochets ( "Stäbchen" ) in the corner stitch and a slip stitch in the following stitch, 

 

 

dann folgen wieder:

1 leerer Bogen, 5 Stäbchen, 1 leerer Bogen, 1 Kettmasche usw.

then follow again:
1 empty bow, 5 treble crochets, 1 empty bow, 1 slip stitch, etc.

Ich habe die Postkarte nicht ganz "stilecht" mit einer Stecknadel an die Bilderwand gepinnt. 

Ich mag es so.
